What Is Scientific Management Advisory?

Scientific management advisory is the competence to create multiple value through performance improvement and prevention of undesired situations for the efficient realization of individual or corporate objectives.

How Does Management Advisory Create Value?

Management advisory creates value through collaboration between the management advsior and the client. In this collaboration, a relationship of knowledge, experience, licenses, social capital, organizational learning, governance, strategy, and culture develops between both parties. As a result, multiple dimensions of added value are generated. The term 'multiple added value' refers to the creation of value in various dimensions such as financial, environmental, social, economic, psychological, strategic, etc., through the management of the business at the corporate and financial levels.

Management Advisory Process:

✓ Negotiation of the business's issues, objectives, and goals between the advisor and the client.

✓ The advisor transforms orally received customer requests into a written proposal, including budget, timeline, and methodology, and presents it for the client's approval.

✓ Upon approval of the proposal that corresponds to the client's requests, a contract is signed.

✓ A clear business plan is provided to the client.

✓ The process is completed by presenting the client with a detailed report and/or assistance in implementation containing information and recommendations.

Biography

Dr. İbrahim Can has been offering scientific management advisory and academic education services globally as a financial management advisor under the brand I Can Advisory since 2015. Notable among his endeavors are serving as an independent board member in large-scale companies and his achievements in managing initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and venture capital projects, particularly on the stock exchanges of Turkey and the United States.

In addition, he manages the international operations of a holding company, of which he is the founder and board member, primarily engaged in participating in the management and capital of businesses. Dr Can is also providing lecturing in FinTech & AI Program at Istanbul Nisantasi University as affiliate professor.

Furthermore, he serves as a court-appointed expert witness with the Ministry of Justice, contributing to large-scale legal processes.

Ph.D. Dissertation: "Value Creation in Management Advisory: A Model Proposal"

This doctoral dissertation offers a theory and a model for practice as well as to reach multiple (financial, psychological, social, strategic, and other dimensions) value creation via scientific management advisory between experienced management advisors, and their clients such as top-level executives; members of the board of directors. The methodology of the research is ethnography and structured theory under the qualitative type. The unique dimension of the research, and its contribution to the literature and practice as well, offer companies corporate sustainability through finance, management, and organizational behavior.

MBA Dissertation: "Financial Sustainability Indicators and Its Evaluation: A Research on Istanbul Stock Exchange Sustainability Index Listed Companies"

This master’s dissertation offers a theory and a model for practice as well as to reach financial sustainability in companies. Financial sustainability is defined and analyzed for its indicators, and it’s spotted as profitability, cash generation, and market capitalization. The unique dimension of the research, to increase financial performance, and to early detection and decrease financial distress is possible with financial sustainability theory and proven by the empirical study as well.
